Where I said USB 2.0 Controller - I mean you should activate Onboard WLAN in your BIOS. Anyway simply restore BIOS defaults and your WiFi adapter will start working.

Windows 7 - wireless broadband was working perfectly but suddenly stopped - and now I have only a message "not connected - no connections are available".
The network, router etc are all fine - our other computers all connect without problem. Have tried a brand new USB wireless adapter and confirmed latest drivers are installed - still nothing.
